Jason Rop is the principal of Blakeslee Rop, PLC. He lives in Rockford with his wife, Shannon, and their children. He has been practicing law in Northern Kent County since 2008, joining the firm when it was known as “Blakeslee Fry & Scales, PLC.” Before that, he spent 5 years at a large law firm (Frost Brown Todd) in Louisville, KY. He is a native of Byron Center, Michigan, and a graduate of South Christian High School (1992), Calvin College (1996), and Notre Dame Law School (2003).

Involvement:

Mr. Rop is a member of the Board of Directors of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the Board of Directors of the North Kent Connect, and is frequently involved in leadership at Blythefield CRC in a variety of capacities from Sunday school teacher to elder.

Jason practices law primarily in the areas of (i) estate planning (wills, trusts, etc.), (ii) estate administration (probate, trust administration, etc.), and (iii) business and real estate transactions. He also handles litigation.
